“Meanwhile, water has been restored in 84% of the 58 areas of the Klang/Shah Alam regions. The rest will receive their water supply in stages and full recovery is expected by noon today,” said its corporate communications head, Elina Baseri.
The nine areas in Klang and Shah Alam still affected are Jalan Raja Lumu, Jalan Kem, Kampung Kastam, Kampung Pendamar, Pandamaran, Persiaran Raja Muda Musa, Taman Berembang, Taman Pendamar Indah and Taman Suria Pendamar.
In a separate statement, Air Selangor also said it was carrying out emergency repairs on another pipe damaged after a landslide in Damansara Utama yesterday.
“The repair is expected to take 30 hours and will be completed at 6am on Dec 31. Users will get water supply in stages after the repair is completed,” it said, adding that it expects water supply to be fully restored in all affected areas by 6pm on Jan 1.
