Former Kota rep Dahalan Aman dies

Three-time state assemblyman, 91, suffers stroke after fall at his home.

Former Kota assemblyman Dahalan Aman died today at Hospital Tuanku Ja’afar Seremban here after suffering brain haemorrhage and stroke. He was 91.

His death was confirmed by Negeri Sembilan Umno liaison committee member and current Kota assemblyman Dr Awaludin Said.

“He suffered bleeding in the brain and a stroke after falling at his home on Friday before he was taken to the hospital.

“The funeral prayers will be at his home in Kampung Bongek, Rembau and the burial will be held at the Kampung Bongek Muslim Cemetery after the midday prayers,” he said.

Dahalan, who joined Umno in the 1950s, was the assemblyman for the state seat for three terms from 1969 to 1982. He was also Negeri Sembilan Selatan Umno deputy chief in the 1970s.

He leaves behind seven children aged from 53 to 62 years.
