No limit to diners per table in CMCO areas now

Spokesmen for the National Security Council (MKN) and defence ministry have confirmed the matter, saying the four-person limit has been lifted.

F&B outlets are still required to ensure diners follow the SOPs of face masks and registering with MySejahtera.
PETALING JAYA:
Good news for families heading out for dinner at food and beverage (F&B) outlets. There is no longer a limit to the number of diners allowed to sit at one table even in areas under the conditional movement control order (CMCO).

Spokesmen for the National Security Council (MKN) and defence ministry have confirmed the matter to FMT, saying the four persons to a table limit has been lifted.

The MKN spokesman said diners need only ensure that they constantly practise the one-metre physical distancing at the table.

The SOPs related to registering using the MySejahtera app, or writing down personal contact details, and using face masks are still applicable.

When the CMCO was first announced for the Klang Valley, Putrajaya said only two diners were allowed per table. It later relaxed the restriction to allow up to four diners per table.

The CMCO for Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Sabah have been extended for another 14 days to Dec 20, although Malaysians throughout the country are now allowed to travel inter-district and interstate, as long as they are not entering any zones under the enhanced MCO.
