
In a statement today, the bank said the employee had been absent from the office since Nov 19.
“The employee is currently receiving medical attention at an appointed government hospital.
“We have also initiated a contact tracing exercise and notified other employees who may have had close contact with them.”
The statement added that arrangements had been made for the employees to get tested for Covid-19 and had advised them to self-quarantine.
The bank gave an assurance that it will abide by current safety and health guidelines.
“The Taman Connaught office will be closed for a thorough sanitisation exercise,” the statement said.
The Taman Connaught office is set to resume operations on Nov 25.
