Salleh picked as chairman of GRS Backbenchers Club

The Usukan assemblyman thanks the chief minister for his trust and says he will do his best to fulfil his role.

KOTA KINABALU:
Usukan assemblyman Salleh Said Keruak has been appointed head of the GRS Backbenchers Club in the State Legislative Assembly.

The appointment was made during a pre-council meeting of GRS assemblymen before the state assembly session began here yesterday.

Salleh thanked Sabah Chief Minister Hajiji Noor for his appointment. “This is a trust (in my ability) and I will make every effort to fulfil my role as chairman of the club,” he said today.

In the state election in September, Salleh, a former communications and multimedia minister, won the Usukan seat with a majority of 4,298 votes.
