TELUK INTAN:
Veteran singer Muhammad Daud Kilau, better known as “Raja Gelek”, has been admitted to the Teluk Intan Hospital (HTI) here after suffering from bouts of breathing difficulty.

Ahmad Zaini, the 82-year-old former artiste’s son, said his father had been taken to the Bagan Datuk Health Clinic on Wednesday to seek treatment following complaints of shortness of breath, before experiencing it again yesterday morning.

“We took him to the clinic but he was sent to HTI by ambulance and received emergency treatment before being transferred to the ward at 3.15pm this afternoon. My father is quite weak, but he’s in stable condition and can still speak,” he said when contacted last night.

Ahmad Zaini hoped his father’s fans would pray for the latter.
