SHAH ALAM:
Food delivery rider Nur Athirah Latiff, whose motorcycle was stolen in Batu Caves recently, received a new bike today from Tengku Permaisuri Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin.

Istana Selangor in a post on Facebook today said the motorcycle, a personal gift from the princess, was presented to Nur Athirah by Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin’s police escort Inspector Noor Hidayu Aziz.

Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin said she was moved after learning how Nur Athirah had been beset with ill luck. She hoped that with the new motorcycle Nur Athirah would be able to get back to work and help her family.

News about Nur Athirah’s misfortune had attracted the attention of netizens after it made its round on social media since last Wednesday.

Many expressed their sympathies to the Batu Caves lass, who had been working as full time food delivery rider to support her mother and two siblings.
