Covid-19 cases reported at Mid Valley, 3 Damansara malls

Covid-19 cases have been reported at the Mid Valley shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur and 3 Damansara in Petaling Jaya.

Mid Valley Megamall reported a Covid-19 case involving an employee of retailer London Sales Cosmetics Sdn Bhd, which has three outlets at Mid Valley and the Gardens mall.

The Mid Valley patient had undergone self-quarantine after a relative become infected, and was confirmed positive for Covid-19 yesterday.

All three outlets by LSC were closed. LSC operates Surreal by Élévatione Time Stops in Mid Valley and Origani and Élévatione Time Stops at The Gardens Mall.

The management of 3 Damansara shopping mall (formerly Tropicana City Mall) in Damansara Utama, Petaling Jaya, said a security personnel stationed at the mall’s fire command centre had tested positive for Covid-19 today. He had not reported to work since Oct 9, after a household member was infected.

The mall management said that mall employees who were in contact with the employee have tested negative and will self-quarantine for 14 days.

Covid-19 infections have also been reported at Bangsar Shopping Centre in Kuala Lumpur, involving a staff member at the retail store Origani, and at Telekoms Malaysia’s building in Damansara, Kuala Lumpur.
