Covid-19 case detected at human resources ministry

All events under the ministry postponed until Oct 16, while the ministry’s office and premises undergo disinfection.

PETALING JAYA:
A staff member at the human resources ministry has been found to be Covid-19 positive.

All programmes and events under the ministry will be postponed until Oct 16, while disinfection is carried out at the ministry’s office and premises in Putrajaya.

“As an additional measure, swab tests will be conducted on all human resources ministry officers.

“The ministry will continue to monitor the latest Covid-19 updates and tighten prevention measures to ensure that this virus can be curbed,” the ministry said in a statement today.

The staff member tested positive on Oct 4 and is being treated at the Sungai Buloh hospital.

The ministry said the individual’s close contacts have already been screened and are currently under home quarantine.
