
Zulkifli has responsibility for religious affairs and was said to have been without a face mask at some of the functions, according to a report in the Malay Mail.
Information about his whereabouts was compiled from social media and announcements and postings that he had made.
On Sept 25, he visited Madrasah Diniah Bakriah Pondok Terusan Limbat in Pasir Tumboh, Kelantan, to help clean the mosque and deliver a religious lecture.
“In some photos, Zulkifli and Yadim chief Nasruddin Hassan were both shown not wearing masks,” the report said.
He also attended a town hall session at the Kelantan Public Library Corporation Hall in Kota Bharu with Kelantan Menteri Besar Ahmad Yakob and delivered a Friday sermon at Ulul Albab Mosque in Jerteh, Terengganu.
The next day, Zulkifli attended a Federal Territories Religious Affairs Council event at the Pantai Ria low-cost housing scheme where he was reported to have delivered aid to the needy.
On Sept 27, he delivered a similar lecture at the An-Nur Surau in Bangi, Selangor, and met with motivational speaker Mohd Fadzilah Kamsah and the At-Taiyibin Islamic Education Centre team.
On Sept 29, Zulkifli met Chief Statistician Mohd Uzir Mahidi and his team, at which none of the guests wore masks, according to the report.
He also attended a briefing on the national celebration of Maulidur Rasul, before attending the launch of the Nusantara Shariah Judiciary and Legislative Conference 2020, which was also attended by Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin.
On Oct 1, Zulkifli was seen with four youths at his office, according to an image on social media. All five wore masks, Malay Mail reported.
The next day, he spent the entire day in Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (Usim) in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan.
On Oct 3, he attended the Darussyifa’s Islamic Medicine certification ceremony and a book launch atDarul Quran in Putrajaya. On the same day, he attended a National Security Council meeting chaired by Muhyiddin.
On Oct 4, he spent the day delivering aid to students affected by the sudden postponement of the ongoing intakes and registrations at several public universities.
“Later that evening, he attended a Quranic recital event at Hotel Geno, Shah Alam, where he met several children who were not wearing any masks,” the portal reported.
