Warisan’s Dumi defends Silam against 5 other contenders in Sabah polls

Silam was previously a BN stronghold but Dumi secured a 2,932-vote majority to seize it in the 2018 general election.

Besides the main contenders Warisan and Perikatan Nasional (PN), the contest for the Silam state seat on Sept 26 also sees candidates from five other local parties.

Warisan’s Dumi Pg Masdal is defending the seat, won in the 2018 general election, against Ahmad Tiong (Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah), Matusin Sunsang (Parti Cinta Sabah), Mohammad Hamdan Abdullah (Usno), Abdul Hakim bin Gulam Hassan (PN) and Erwan bin Johan (Parti Perpaduan Rakyat Sabah).

In announcing the line-up, returning officer Juraimin Jadil said no candidates were rejected.
