Singapore home quarantine cut to 7 days for Malaysians

The policy also applies to those from Australia, excluding Victoria state, Macao, China, Taiwan and Vietnam.

Malaysians travelling to Singapore will only serve a 7-day home quarantine from Sept 1.
SINGAPORE:
Singapore will shorten the Stay-Home Notice duration to 7 days from the current 14 days for travellers from six low-risk countries and regions, including Malaysia.

The other five territories are Australia, excluding Victoria state, Macao, China, Taiwan and Vietnam.

The change begins on Sept 1 for all travellers entering or departing Singapore, the government said today.

Travellers from these territories would be allowed to serve the 7-day quarantine at their place of residence, as with Singapore citizens and permanent residents.

Long-term pass holders may serve their quarantine at a family residence or in a hotel.

However, travel conditions under the Green/Fast Lane and Periodic Commuting arrangements with Malaysia would continue to apply.

From Sept 1, the republic will also allow the entry of visitors from Brunei and New Zealand. Those who had been in Brunei or New Zealand for 14 days before their entry will not be required to serve quarantine.
