Lottery outlets, billiard shops and swimming pools also given green light to open as the state relaxes restrictions under the recovery movement control order.

A lottery shop in Sabah being ordered to shut last week after opening for business for several hours. Lottery operations statewide resumed today.
KOTA KINABALU:
Sabah has given the green light to foreign traders and investors to enter the state from today.

Chief Minister Shafie Apdal said, however, they were required to fill in the health declaration form and to strictly comply with the Health Department’s standard operating procedures.

The approval to enter is at the same time subject to rules set by the Immigration Department and other related authorities, he said in a statement here.

Besides that, punters in Sabah can also now line up to place their bets at lottery outlets after the state government gave the go-ahead for lottery operations statewide to resume today.

Previously, such shops were not allowed to open in the state despite their counterparts in the peninsula being permitted to do so beginning last week.

Shafie said swimming pools and billiard shops were also allowed to open now.

“The operating times are subject to SOPs by the health ministry and local authorities.

“The government would like to remind all communities in Sabah to avoid the three Cs — crowded places, confined spaces and close conversations,” he said.
