KOTA KINABALU:
A Sabah activist who was recently threatened over his campaign against illegal immigrants lodged a police report here today after his office building was splashed with yellow paint.
Indigenous rights activist Verdon Bahanda.

Verdon Bahanda said the incident occurred at about 1am this morning at his office in Iramanis.

“The whole incident was recorded on CCTV. I believe it was connected to the recent threat against my life by those who are protecting the illegal immigrants,” he said.

Adding that he had no personal or business-related enemies, he said he would not stop his call for the government to get rid of all illegal immigrants in Sabah.

Verdon previously started three initiatives, to unify indigenous Sabahans, boycott products sold by illegal immigrants and urge native communities to lodge reports about illegal immigrants.
