
In a joint statement, they maintained that the current Perikatan Nasional government was not established through the polls.
They said their spirits are still burning despite their age.
“We do not want to betray the people who spent hours lining up at the polling centres, spending hundreds of ringgit to fly home to vote and taking unpaid leave to bring the voice of change.
“Two years ago, people of all faiths and races helped us with donations and contributions, voices and suggestions, hope and strength, just to see change for our beloved country.
“May 9, 2018 was not an incident to commemorate the uniting of Mahathir or Anwar. It was an incident that clearly bore the fate and future of the people and fought injustice in the country.”
They said they could not bear to compromise their moral and ethical principles by supporting the current administration.
“The time has come for us to rise again and work toward returning the people’s mandate to the rightful party,” they added.
