This follows a drop of four active cases in the area.

PETALING JAYA:
Kuala Langat has become the first district in Selangor to be designated as a Covid-19 green zone with zero active cases.

A health ministry infographic showed a drop of four active cases in the area.

There are now 111 green zone districts with zero active cases nationwide.

A number of states do not have active cases in any districts and are now considered green states. These are Perak, Penang, Perlis, Kedah and Kelantan.

A district is classified as a red zone when it has more than 40 active cases.

Active red zones in the country are:

Petaling, Hulu Langat and Gombak (Selangor)

Batu, Ibu Kota, Kampung Bharu and Sri Petaling (Kuala Lumpur)

Kluang (Johor)

Kuching and Kota Samarahan (Sarawak)

To date, a total of 6,467 Covid-19 cases have been recorded in the country with 107 deaths. Some 4,776 people have recovered while 1,584 are still being treated.
