PETALING JAYA:
A 35-year-old man was spotted trying to kill his dog by hanging it from a mango tree by the roadside in Banting.

However, his cruel act caught the attention of passersby who ordered him to release the dog.

The dog was seen trying to wriggle itself out from a noose around its neck at the 17th mile Jalan Banting-Klang near Sungai Sedu.

The incident was caught on video. However, it is not certain when this incident took place. What prompted his action is also not known.

“Who are you?” the man was seen asking defiantly in the video.

“Are you from the government? I raised this dog myself, and I will do whatever I want with it.

“I will kill it if I want to.

“Even if you are from the government, I don’t care. I am not scared,” he was seen telling a man in the video.

When the man insisted that he release the dog, the man loosened the rope and the dog fell to the ground, gasping for breath.

A short while later, it was seen wagging its tail despite going through the ordeal.

It is reliably learnt that the Department of Veterinary Services (DVS) seized the dog and a rope at 11.30am today.

Action is expected against the man after investigations are completed.
