Only 8 Covid-19 red zones left in the country

Most of the red zones are in Selangor, Sarawak and Johor, with Lembah Pantai having the most active cases.

PETALING JAYA:
There are now only eight districts designated as Covid-19 red zones, a health ministry infographic shows.

A red zone is a district in which more than 40 Covid-19 cases have been recorded.

Hulu Langat, Kepong, Lembah Pantai, Titiwangsa, Johor Bahru, Kluang, Kuching and Kota Samarahan are the only red zone districts left.

Lembah Pantai has the highest number of active cases with 258 cases still being treated, followed by Kuching with 143.

There are 91 green zone districts with zero active cases nationwide.

To date, a total of 6,071 Covid-19 cases have been recorded in the country with 103 deaths. Some 4,210 people have recovered while 1,758 are still being treated.
