
The state disaster management committee, in a statement, said of these new cases, three were currently at the Sarawak General Hospital and one in Bintulu Hospital.
“There are 29 new cases of Persons Under Investigation (PUI), bringing the total to 908 cases.
“Of the total number, 770 cases are negative and 47 cases are pending lab results,” it said.
To date, it said Sarawak has recorded five deaths since the first fatal case due to the virus was reported on March 17.
On another matter, the committee, at a meeting today, also agreed to allow pet shops and veterinary clinics to open for business during the movement control order (MCO) period from 7am to 7pm, with immediate effect.
