With the exception of DAP, all state youth wing leaders from PH agreed to push their party leaders to the idea, following a meeting last night.
The DAP youth wing said it was neutral on the matter. Warisan is not part of PH.
“This is a consensus reached by my counterparts in other PH parties,” said Sabah PKR Youth chief Raymond Ahuar, who also leads the state’s PH Youth wing.
He called for a meeting between PH and Warisan, which is leading the state government, to decide on the choice of candidate.
Last week, the Federal Court upheld a decision by the election court to nullify the Kimanis election results of 2018.
The parliamentary constituency was narrowly won by Barisan Nasional through former foreign minister Anifah Aman, who obtained a 156-vote majority beating Warisan’s Karim Bujang.
Karim, who heads Warisan’s Kimanis division, has said he was ready to contest the seat again.
