It was reported earlier this week that several WhatsApp messages alleging abuse of power and cheating in a supply tender for 18 FICs have been making the rounds.
News portal Suara.tv said the messages alleged that the tender management committee head had asked committee members to sign an incomplete evaluation page.
It also claimed that the committee head had shortened the list of companies shortlisted for the tender from 10 to four without the knowledge of other members.
The portal said 64 companies had attended the tender briefing at the navy’s Kota Kinabalu base on July 25.
Forty-four companies signed up for the tender before pitching closed on Aug 3.
