Assemblymen Leong Cheok Keng and Leow Thye Yih say they want to help strengthen the image of Perak DAP.
IPOH:
Two DAP assemblymen who resigned from the state-level committee in September today announced that they were rejoining the leadership line-up.

Malim Nawar assemblyman Leong Cheok Keng and Pokok Asam assemblyman Leow Thye Yih said in a joint statement that they were returning to the Perak DAP committee.

Leong, the Perak deputy treasurer, and Leow, the state assistant organising secretary, said they made the decision after considering the advice of executive councillor Yong Choo Kiong, who was facing a rape trial.

They said they could “feel” Yong’s sincerity and accepted his invitation to return to the committee.

In addition, they said the loss of Pakatan Harapan in the Tanjung Piai parliamentary by-election recently was a wake-up call to strengthen the position and image of Perak DAP.
