Yapeim board of trustees chairman Mohd Daud Bakar, in a statement today, said that it was in line with the audit findings by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) recently.
He said Abibullah’s suspension came into effect on May 21.
“Yapeim’s board of trustees has already taken note of the video recording of the speech, but it was not the sole consideration in the decision to suspend his service.
“Suspension of services is a standard process in any organisation if there is an allegation of misconduct where the employee may be investigated based on the organisation’s internal rules.”
He said the foundation was seeking the cooperation of the media and social media users to stop speculating on the matter to enable it to carry out its probe.
