This work had disrupted water supply to four million consumers in the Klang Valley since 9am today. Full restoration is expected to take another three days or a total of 86 hours.
In a statement tonight, Syabas said the plant will be activated and the process of distributing treated water supply to the main reservoirs and the main distribution system will be carried out before water is distributed to customers. This process is expected to take 24 hours.
The supply recovery will vary from one area to another, depending on the geographical location and altitude of customers’ premises.
It urged consumers to get the latest updates on the water supply status at www.syabas.com.my, Facebook “Air Selangor”, Twitter @air_selangor and the Air Selangor smartphone application.
For relief water supply assistance, consumers can send SMS Tanker <Name><Address> to 15300 or WhatsApp to: 019-281 6793 or 019-280 0919.
The water cut has affected up to 620,835 Syabas account holders in 577 areas of Kuala Lumpur, Petaling, Klang, Shah Alam, Gombak, Kuala Langat and Kuala Selangor.
