2 dropped from new Johor exco line-up

Three new faces in new line-up were sworn in today.

The new Johor exco committee sworn in today saw three new members while two others were dropped.

The three new exco members were part of the 10-member line-up who took their oath of office at the state palace today. They are Tosrin Jarvanthi (Bukit Permai), Mohd Solihan Badri (Tenang) and Tan Chen Choon (Jementah).

The seven others who were reappointed were Parit Yaani assemblyman Aminolhuda Hassan, ​​​​​Dzulkefly Ahmad (Kota Iskandar), Jimmy Puah (Bukit Batu), S Ramakrishnan (Bekok), Mohd Khuzzan Abu Bakar (Semerah), Sheikh Umar Bagharib Ali (Paloh) and Liow Cai Tung (Johor Jaya).

Skudai assemblyman Tan Hong Ping and Puteri Wangsa assemblyman Mazlan Bujang were dropped from the new line-up.

Tan was in charge of local government, science and technology while Mazlan headed the Public Works, Infrastructure and Transportation committee.

FMT understands that a few excos will be taking on completely new portfolios, while other portfolios will be renamed.

The portfolios of Menteri Besar Dr Sahruddin Jamal and the state excos are as follows:

1. Menteri Besar Dr Sahruddin Jamal (assemblyman for Bukit Kepong) – Natural Resources, Administration, Finance, Planning and Economic Development.

2) Aminolhuda Hassan (Parit Yaani) – Education, Human Resources, Science and Technology.

3) Dzulkefly Ahmad (Kota Iskandar) – Housing, Communications and Multimedia.

4) Liow Cai Tung (Johor Jaya) – Tourism and Women, Family and Community Development.

5) Jimmy Puah (Bukit Batu) – International Trade, Investments and Utilities.

6) Mohd Khuzzan Abu Bakar (Semerah) – Health, Culture and Heritage.

7) S Ramakrishnan (Bekok) – Unity, Domestic Trade and Consumerism.

8) Sheikh Umar Bagharib Ali (Paloh) – Youth, Sports, Entrepreneurial Development and Cooperatives.

9) Tosrin Jarvanthi (Bukit Permai) – Islamic Religious Affairs, Agriculture and Rural Development.

10) Tan Chen Choon (Jementah) – Local Government, Urban Wellbeing and Environment.

11) Mohd Solihan Badri (Tenang) – Careers, Transport and Infrastructure.
