KOTA KINABALU:
Police have arrested two people in connection with the violent attack captured on video at a popular mall here earlier this week.

Acting city police chief George Abd Rakman said the suspects, aged 18 and 19, were picked up at Inanam town, near the outskirts of Kota Kinabalu.

He said police are still trying to locate four other suspects involved in the attacks.

The 46-second video of the incident, which went viral on social media, showed six men punching and kicking two others near a cinema at the mall.

This sparked angry comments from internet users who urged the authorities to track down the assailants.

The attack occurred at about 4pm on Monday.
