A statement issued by the Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU) of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said the state action council was established in every state to act as the main body responsible for ensuring the decisions made by the National Action Council (MTN) are implemented at the state level.
“The Kelantan state action council will act as the main coordinating platform for policy decisions related to planning, monitoring and tracking of the implementation of development policies and programmes as well as the ongoing initiatives of the federal government at the state level,” the statement said.
“To ensure all development projects planned for Kelantan run smoothly, the federal government hopes the Kelantan government will give its full cooperation.”
It said this was important to ensure the federal government’s efforts to develop Kelantan will be able to provide an optimum impact to the state and its people.
It also said the federal government’s commitment to boost development in Kelantan was clear as the state was given priority in distribution of development allocations, as set out in the Mid-Term Review of the 11th Malaysia Plan (2018-2020).
