SHAH ALAM: Some 2,000 Sabahans residing in the peninsula have applied to join PPBM, a party leader said.
“So far, 2,000 Sabahans here have unanimously pledged their support to Tun Dr Mahathir’s leadership and are prepared to help him strengthen the country’s economy, and we are confident that the membership of Sabahans in PPBM will increase from time to time after this,” PPBM Supreme Council member Abu Bakar Yahya said today after an event to receive their application forms.
Abu Bakar, who is also Mahathir’s political secretary, said the applications must be taken to the party’s annual general meeting for consideration before they are approved.
Meanwhile, in Kuala Kangsar, former members of Umno submitted their application forms to join PPBM to Kuala Kangsar PPBM chief Iskandar Dzulkarnain Abdul Hamid today.
