
He said inquiry proceedings into the matter will be held from Dec 4-6, with former auditor-general (A-G) Ambrin Buang and present A-G Madinah Mohamad being called in for questioning.
He said former 1MDB president and CEO Arul Kanda Kandasamy and former prime minister Najib Razak are also expected to be called in during the next PAC proceedings that begin in January next year.
“Our role is to find out who ordered the changes to be made and who made them.
“We will also give recommendations on the matter to Parliament,” he told reporters after attending discussions on electoral reforms in Parliament today.
Wong was asked for updates on the statement by Madinah that paragraphs mentioning the presence of businessman Low Taek Jho, or Jho Low, at a meeting of 1MDB board of directors were allegedly changed in the final audit report when it was being prepared.
She said another change made was on the financial status of 1MDB.
However, Ambrin has denied that his 2016 audit report on 1MDB was tampered with.
Malaysiakini had reported Ambrin as standing by his report. “Yes (I stand by it), it was my report. I was in total control of my report,” he had said.
