Felda activist Mazlan Aliman to head Farmers’ Organisation Authority

Amanah assemblyman Muhammad Faiz Fadzil meanwhile will head the Fisheries Development Authority of Malaysia.

PUTRAJAYA:
Persatuan Anak Peneroka Kebangsaan (Anak) president Mazlan Aliman was appointed as the Farmers’ Organisation Authority (FOA) chairman today.

Anak is an NGO that represents second and third generations of Felda settlers.

The appointment of Mazlan, who is also an Amanah Central Committee member, was announced by Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Salahuddin Ayub.

Other appointments include Permatang Pasir assemblyman Muhammad Faiz Fadzil as chairman of the Fisheries Development Authority of Malaysia and IM Global managing director Ishak Ismail as chairman of the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (Fama).

Salahuddin said the trio’s tenure starts from Nov 1 until Oct 31, 2020.

The Amanah deputy president said he was confident the three could help boost the role and services of the three major agencies.
