PETALING JAYA:
The Magistrate’s Court here has allowed an application by the police to exhume the body of Nazrin Hassan, the Cradle Fund CEO whose death in a fire in June is the subject of a murder investigation.

The application is to enable the police to conduct a second post-mortem on his body.

It is understood that the exhumation process will be done this Wednesday.

Last week, police said the investigation into Nazrin’s death would be wrapped up soon.

They earlier recorded statements from Nazrin’s widow Samirah Muzaffar and her ex-husband, as well as other family members, who have since been released.

The case was classified under Section 302 of the Penal Code after a forensic report from the fire department said there were traces of gasoline found at the scene.
