PUTRAJAYA: Outgoing PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said her deputy Mohamed Azmin Ali had also helped in raising funds for the party’s GE14 campaign.
The Pandan MP said Azmin had his own ways of helping the party.
She made the statement following a remark by Rafizi Ramli, who is challenging Azmin for the No 2 post.
“We had our ways when we were facing the general election. One of it was to get a mortgage on the house.
“Azmin had helped too. He had his own ways,” the deputy prime minister told reporters without elaborating further.
Rafizi had claimed that Wan Azizah and her husband, Anwar Ibrahim, had to mortgage their house to help pay for the deposits of PKR candidates.
But Wan Azizah denied they had to do so as a result of Azmin’s failure to raise funds.
