KOTA KINABALU:
Joan Maluda, wife of Kota Marudu MP Maximus Ongkili, who is also PBS deputy president, died today after struggling with a long-term illness.

She was 63.

Joan died at their residence in Kampung Kolopis, Penampang, near here at 2.15pm, with her family members by her side.

In a statement here tonight, Ongkili said the public can pay their last respects during her funeral service at the SIB Church in Likas here on Sunday at 1pm.

“We thank the people for the wishes and prayers. She was a loving wife and great wholesome mother. She will be deeply missed,” said Ongkili.
