JOHOR BAHRU: Johor Islamic Religious Council adviser Nooh Gadut was injured after his car was involved in an accident near his house here today.
Johor Bahru Selatan district police chief Shahurinain Jais said Nooh, 72, was returning to his home in Taman Nong Chik when the incident occurred at about 1.15 pm.
He said the Mercedez Benz driven by the former Johor mufti was believed to have skidded before plunging into a drain.
“Nooh suffered wounds to his chin and a bruise on the forehead,” he said.
Nooh received nine stitches at the KPJ Puteri Specialist Hospital here and was allowed to return home.
