KANGAR: Perlis number plate RR6 fetched RM459,000 in an auction at the Road Transport Department, the highest amount open bidding for vehicle registration plate numbers from 2015 until last year.
JPJ director Shahrul Azhar Mat Dali said the RR series had fetched RM12.2 million.
The department recorded a revenue of RM45.17 million through the open bidding of vehicle plate numbers from 2015 until last year.
Revenue this year amounted to RM12.07 million.
The RY series for numbers RY1 to RY9999 was opened for bidding on July 5. Bids close at noon on July 18.
