“It’s just a waste of time for me to sue him on this matter,” Lokman said outside the court complex today while waiting for the former prime minister to arrive and post his remaining bail.
Last week, Lokman lodged a police report against Shukri claiming the MACC chief was lying about the charges against Najib.
Najib himself filed lawsuits against Shukri, police commercial crimes head Amar Singh and Attorney-General Tommy Thomas some two weeks ago.
Shukri however said he was undeterred by the suit.
Lokman, who heads a group called Pemantau Malaysia Baru, also continued criticising the authorities for freezing the bank accounts of Najib’s children and 10-month-old grandson, Adam.
“The Attorney-General’s Chambers should have looked at the Department of Justice’s lawsuit properly,” he said.
“There is no mention of Nooryana, Norlisa, Nizar or Norashman’s names in the suit.”
He also predicted that Thomas would drop the corruption charges against Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng over the purchase of his Penang bungalow by this month.
“I dare to say that. He (Thomas) has the power to decide on all cases,” he added.
