Lawyer Arun Kasi, who is appearing for the seven, said judge Azizul Azmi Adnan had allowed an interim injunction until he had decided on the declaration sought by his clients.
Azizul has fixed to hear the case on Aug 20.
“MHS will not be able to hold its AGM until the judge makes a ruling,” Arun told FMT of the decision made in chambers.
He said lawyers who represented MHS did not contest the interim injunction sought by the seven.
The plaintiffs want a declaration that the notice and financial statements were not furnished to members at least 21 days ahead of the AGM, as required by the Companies Act 2016.
MHS is registered as a company.
They also want the court to declare that their nomination papers filed on June 17 to contest for key positions are valid.
MHS was scheduled to hold the AGM on June 24 but this was postponed as the seven had obtained an ad interim injunction on June 20.
