Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Bhd (Proton) said the sticker prices would remain the same until the GST is zero-rated.

“All customers will be offered the choice between an instant cash rebate for cars registered from May 16-31 or service vouchers equivalent in value to the difference between the current and new prices of the car, effective June.

“The zero-rated GST offer is also extended to car servicing at all authorised Proton service centres where a 6% discount (for labour and periodical maintenance parts only) is being offered to owners who send in their cars for periodical maintenance,” Proton said in a statement today.

The national car maker also said its customers would also get special sales initiatives this month which made it even easier to own a Proton.
