
Adly, who is also Melaka Amanah chairman, said the state PH was in the midst of talks with the other component parties on the matter.
“Each party (within PH) will propose its candidate and we will finalise the decision (on the candidate for the post of Melaka chief minister) soon. Hopefully we will make a decision today.
“The distribution of exco seats will be discussed later,” the Bukit Katil state assemblyman said in a press conference at Graha Amanah Melaka in Bukit Katil here today.
Also present were PKR vice-president Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, who is the MP for Hang Tuah Jaya, and PPBM Supreme Council member Mohd Rafiq Naizamohideen, who is Paya Rumput state assemblyman.
In the 14th general election, PH obtained a simple majority after winning 15 of the 28 state seats.
Adly said Melaka PH would focus on implementing the 20 pledges made in its manifesto over the next five years.
Shamsul meanwhile said the coalition hoped the new state government could be formed in an orderly and harmonious manner.
