Police are investigating claims of spam calls from mystery foreign numbers to mobile phones today, following complaints from political leaders today.

Inspector-General of Police Mohamad Fuzi Harun said police would cooperate with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission Act (MCMC) to investigate possible attempts to disrupt communication in the country.

“These bots attacks is seen as an attempt by irresponsible quarters to create disharmony and disrupt the smooth flow of the general election,” he said.
