Ho, who will be standing against Pua in the parliamentary constituency, said there was no guarantee that there would not be corruption if the opposition was to take over.
“We need to look for solutions instead of continuously sensationalising the issue.
“If I am elected as an MP in Damansara I will be pushing for digital technology, like blockchain, to end corruption,” the 30-year-old told FMT.
He said blockchain technology, like Ethereum, had been proven to eradicate corruption in government departments.
“We should have a technology-efficient government to cut corruption and make government processes easier,” said Ho, who was a practising lawyer before he was selected as a candidate.
He is aware that it will be an uphill task to beat the experienced Pua, but hopes voters will look beyond the issues being played up by the DAP candidate.
“If he is really serious about raising the 1MDB issue, he should do it at the Public Accounts Committee.
“And if he really wants to stop corruption and leakages, he should find solutions,” Ho said.
He also wants to push for more progressive education where youths are taught critical thinking.
“Our education system should not be a place to churn out robots. That has to stop too,” he added.
