The EC, in a statement today, said the video found going viral early today was of an incident that occurred during the 13th general election (GE13) in 2013.
“The video was actually aired and disseminated through social media sites like YouTube and Facebook between May 4 and 7, 2013.
“Now, it has resurfaced to cause disorder among the people.
“The EC hopes people do not keep believing any messages or visuals that are being spread or disseminated on social media sites,” the statement said.
According to the commission, any concerns and questions about the election can be referred directly to the EC by calling their hotline, 03-88927018.
