Pahang palace warns of fake accounts using royal couple’s names

A palace statement said there is only one verified royal account for the Pahang sultanate on Facebook, with no personal account for Al-Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah.

PETALING JAYA:
Al-Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah of Pahang does not have any personal social media accounts, the palace said today, warning of many fake accounts created using his name and images.

A palace statement said fake accounts, particularly on Facebook and TikTok, have also been created using the name and images of the Tengku Ampuan of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.

The palace said there is only one verified Kesultanan Pahang account on Facebook, with approximately 772,000 followers, through which royal statements are made.

The public was urged to immediately report any suspicious invitations or content on social media to the authorities.
