Manivannan lodged a report at the same police station where boxes were supposed to be kept.
“At about 5.30 pm, a ballot box was brought from the army camp to be placed in the police station.
However, I was denied entry a number of times by the EC and the police,” he said at a press conference here today.
“I was there to observe how the ballot box was being handled and who was in possession of the key. But I was prevented from entering,” he said.
His polling agent was also not allowed to observe the box. He made the report at the same police station.
Manivannan faces Khairuddin Tarmizi (BN) and Mohd Misbahul Munir Masduki (PAS) for the Hutan Melintang state seat.
It had been held by PKR’s Kesavan Subramaniam since 2008.
