“I understand that among the Chinese community, they are very helpful towards each other. In business, they look out for each other and ensure that everyone has equal opportunities.
“Today, I don’t see this any more,” he told village heads at a gathering in Maharani, one of two state seats in Muar.
The deputy minister in the Prime Minister’s Department said DAP’s decision to pit its Johor chief Liew Ching Tong against MCA deputy president Wee Ka Siong was part of the same campaign to destroy MCA.
“I can’t believe even the Chinese are fighting against each other, when they are known as a race that is united. This is really bad,” he said.
Razali also questioned Pakatan Harapan for naming “outsiders” as candidates in Muar.
“These people, they come to Muar, bringing flyers from Penang and Selangor. They say Penang and Selangor are better than Johor.
“People in Selangor, they still say that they don’t see any difference in their lifestyle; everything is still the same.
“Now, Johor has overtaken them,” he added.
In the last general election, Razali retained Muar by 1,646 votes, down from his previous winning majorities of 4,661 in 2008 and 13,415 in 2004.
