Subramaniam, who is also health minister, was responding to a statement issued by myPPP president M Kayveas on his Facebook account, saying he had been asked to consider contesting in the Segambut parliamentary seat but had rejected the offer.
MyPPP was eyeing the Cameron Highlands seat traditionally contested by MIC.
In the last polls, the seat was contested and won by MIC through G Palanivel who became MIC president before leaving the party.
When met after a presentation at the health ministry yesterday, Subramaniam said: “He (Kayveas) has answered, you all can just use the quotes from his statement.”
He said MIC’s list of candidates had been finalised and that the party was awaiting the official announcement by Barisan Nasional chairman Najib Razak.
