KOTA KINABALU: The calm of a housing area was shattered when residents found the remains of a premature baby girl in the playground area of Taman Saga in Kolombong near here today.
City police chief M Chandra said the mother may have delivered when she was seven and eight months pregnant.
“A passer-by saw something suspicious on the grass when walking through the playground and was shocked to find the foetus.”
Police received a distress call at 8.16am today.
The body has been sent for a post-mortem.
Efforts are under way to locate those involved in this baby-dumping.
