He said while the BN government had not kept its promise to the 1,000 Ijok settlers over compensation and homes, PH had managed to resolve the matter.
“It is a success story as the PH Selangor state government recovered 1,000 acres of public land, given away by the old BN government to its cronies,” he said in a press conference at his office today.

He was responding to news of two senior settlers, aged 75 and 66, who had been detained by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) last week.
MACC detained the two leaders of the Ijok settler’s committee over allegations of kickbacks involving the abandoned Alam Mutiara and Alam Utama projects in Ijok.
The project was under Projek Rancangan Revolusi Hijau II and III Bukit Cheraka.
Khalid urged the MACC to do its work professionally.
He added that the settlers were now unsure of their future.
“Just when after 16 years, all their problems were settled by the PH government, two settlers have been detained,” he said.
