Communications and Multimedia Minister Salleh Said Keruak says Dr Mahathir Mohamad will spin anything short of a two-thirds victory as being a failure.
KUALA LUMPUR:
Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman Dr Mahathir Mohamad is fully aware that PH will be defeated in the 14th general election (GE14), said Communications and Multimedia Minister Salleh Said Keruak.

“That is why he is going all out to try to deny Barisan Nasional (BN) a two-thirds win in the general election.

“Mahathir will then spin this as Prime Minister Najib Razak’s ‘failure’. The issue then will not be that BN has won the election but that it has failed to win a two-thirds majority.

“The best Mahathir can hope for is that BN will win with a simple majority of about 60% of the seats in Parliament,” he said in his posting on his blog sskeruak.blogspot.my.

He said Mahathir hoped this could then be presented as Najib’s failure so that he could instigate Umno to oust Najib.

“Mahathir has told Pakatan it needs to save Malaysia by ousting Umno, and then he tells Umno it needs to oust Najib to save Umno,” Salleh said.
