
This was announced by former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who is chairman of PH and PPBM, at a rally in Temerloh on Monday night.
Pahang has a total of 14 parliamentary seats and 42 state seats.
Amanah secretary-general Anuar Tahir will lead the pack by contesting in Temerloh, now held by PAS information chief Nasrudin Hassan Tantawi.
In the last election in May 2013, Nasrudin defeated Barisan Nasional’s (BN) Saifuddin Abdullah, who is now PH chief secretary and PKR member, by a margin of 1,070 votes.
State Amanah chairman Hamzah Jaafar will run for the Dong state seat in the Raub parliamentary constituency, while deputy chairman Syed Hamid Syed Mohamed will attempt to defend the Kuala Semantan state seat, which is in Temerloh.
The three state vice-chairmen Jamaluddin Abd Rahim, Ahmad Sazili Mohd Nor and Zulkifli Mohamed will contest the state seats of Pulau Tawar in Jerantut, Tioman in Rompin and Beserah in Indera Mahkota.
Pahang Amanah Youth chief Nur Addin Ibrahim will be fielded in the Lepar state constituency in Paya Besar; women’s secretary Sabrina Md Yusoff in Tanjung Lumpur, Kuantan; and youth executive councillor Ahmad Majdi Fauzi Abd Aziz in Guai, Bera.
Norhaizan Abu Hasan, a state youth committee member, will be nominated for the Pelangai state seat in Bentong, while the Jengka and Kerdau seats in Kuala Krau will be contested by the party’s state welfare bureau chief Jelani Ludin and Kuala Krau division deputy chairman Adnan Abdul Manaf.
